FAA CHECKRIDES

Maine Scenic Airways, Inc. offers FAA checkrides with FAA Designated Examiner Alfred 'Sandy' Reynolds. Rides include checks for Sport, Recreational, Private, Instrument and Commercial Pilot applicants. For Instructors, Mr. Reynolds can give rides for Instrument Instructor (CFII) added ratings and give Instructor renewals and reinstatements.

All applicants would like to pass the checkride on their first attempt and most can if they prepare properly. Preparation is the key. Some suggestions: Know the contents of the PTS for your particular license or rating and know the standards you will be graded by. Also, prepare for the oral part of your test by studying one of the Oral Exam Guides that are for sale at most flight schools.

Some applicants have found it helpful to schedule a Progress Check with the examiner a few days before the checkride.

AIRCRAFT RENTAL

For qualified pilots, Maine Scenic Airways, Inc. offers Cessna single-engine rentals. After completing a rental checkout, pilots are eligible to rent our aircraft for personal flights in the local area. Pilots who do not want rental privileges may schedule a 'dual scenic'. Let our CFI be your tour guide over some of the most beautiful scenery in the world while you do the flying!

Presently, Maine Scenic Airways has a GPS equipped C-150 and an IFR C-172 available for rental. Our C-182RG is reserved for instruction, checkride and charter use. If you are a pilot and have been checked out in one of our other airplanes, you may schedule dual XC trips in the C-182RG.

Although aircraft renter's insurance is not required, Maine Scenic Airway's, Inc. customers may wish to purchase a non-owned aircraft policy.
