Maine Scenic Airways, Inc. operates a flight school and a charter service
at the Belfast Municipal Airport near the center of the Maine Coast.
The company was started by Alfred 'Sandy' Reynolds in 1999. Mr.
Reynolds has been a pilot for 39 years and has been actively flying
on the Maine Coast for 29. He is a Single and Multiengine rated Instrument
Flight Instructor and an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner.
Maine Scenic also sells 100LL aviation fuel and rents tiedowns to
transient pilots. Free parking is available outside the designated
tiedown areas. Pilots who must have fuel or need help with a tiedown,
are encouraged to call ahead so we can arrange a time that is mutually
convenient. When an employee is available for after hours fuel call in,
that number will be posted on the FBO door.
Once a sleepy rural airport, Belfast has made many recent improvements and
is poised to become one of the outstanding small airports in Maine.
